Diamond Mind Cultura offers high quality mental health support in the form of therapeutic intervention based on assessment and diagnosis guided by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) criteria as well as culturally appropriate, client-centered therapeutic intervention following. Targeted clients on the waitlist for this service are some of our most vulnerable and marginalized community members, deserving of a safe, comfortable and culturally supportive environment in which to access and receive much needed mental health care.
The importance and uniqueness of this service is that we have someone who has a history of experience working with people with Spanish speaking families in our community, has excellent referring sources who are also otherwise working first hand with our Spanish speaking families, and is also able to communicate at a level that is needed when someone is dealing with emotional and mental health needs is a big factor in our choice to move forward with this project. It is unique and of value to our local families and community. Client to client referrals also demonstrate comfort and trust of the work provided within this project.
